Proposals will be evaluated based on the attractiveness and relevance of the topics to CPS-IoT Week, the past performance of the workshop (if applicable), and the qualifications of the organizers. The CPS-IoT Week organizers reserve the right to cancel a workshop if too few participants are registered.
Submissions should be in PDF format, and made via email to Dr. Wan Du (wdu3@ucmerced.edu) with the heading "Proposal to 2023CPS-IoT Week Workshop: your name”.

    Tutorial Proposals

    Tutorial proposals should include:

Tutorials should be of interest to a wide audience in CPS and IoT; they should instruct attendees about specific topics, teach the use of new systems or tools, or provide the necessary background to understand key technical advances in CPS- and IoT-related topics. Proposals will be evaluated based on the general interests to the CPS-IoT Week participants, quality of the proposal, and qualifications of the presenters. If accepted, the tutorial organizers are required to provide a beta website that will contain links of the tutorial materials to the chairs one month prior to the conference, with preliminary content that will be used in calls for participation. The CPS-IoT Week organizers reserve the right to cancel a tutorial if too few attendees are registered.

Submissions should be in PDF format (max. 2 pages), and made via email to Christian Dietrich (christian.dietrich@tuhh.de) with the heading "Proposal to 2023CPS-IoT Week Tutorials: your name”

    Competition Proposals

The competitions provide a unique opportunity to bring researchers and practitioners from different communities together to share their experiences in an interactive atmosphere and to foster collaboration for new and innovative projects. They also provide excellent opportunities to student researchers to showcase their skill on cutting-edge research topics.

    Competition proposals should include:
    • The title of the tutorial and its duration (half or full day)
    • Title of the competition
    • A brief description of the competition, including what task is under evaluation and why the competition is of interest to the CPS-IoT community.
    • Tell us how the competition will be run:
      1. Expected duration, and format of the competition
      2. Include eligibility and competition categories, if applicable
      3. An overview (or draft) of the rules and assessment criteria
    • Request for the Organizing Committee for facilities including required space (area in square feet and minimum height) along with power, networking, audio-visual, and other requirements.
    • For continued competitions, a summary of previous runs (e.g., the number of participants and their composition), and ideas for improvement. Link to the previous competition website/video.
    • Names, contact information, and a brief bio of the competition organizers, describing experience in organizing previous competitions, workshops, etc.
    • (Optional) - Include a list of possible participants.
    • Follow-up plans (if any) to disseminate the ideas from the competition, for example through position paper or journal special issue.
All submissions will undergo a standard review process within the Organizing Committee.
